Desiring-Machines is an experimental/free improvisation group formed in 1997 in
response to the dual challenge of integrating the medium of electronics into acoustic improvisation while attempting to find
common ground between individualized
musical conceptions.

The music of Desiring-Machines is created without any predetermination or elaboration
as to form or content. The music is the direct result of each player’s contribution and interaction in the moment of play and
reflects the diverse musical experiences
of each player involved.
